JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the supervision and training activities of junior personnel to move inventory in the safest and most cost effective manner.  Serves as a specialist in the material goods inside of the warehouse and the disposition and safe storage of the goods/materials.  Trains and leads junior personnel with a sound knowledge of material management, and distribution/transportation processes and policies to meet the business requirements.  In addition, this position will assist in the compliance with all of the Clients’ rules and requirement regarding the handling of inventory and shipments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, train and function as a specialist in the warehousing functions of materials, equipment and supplies.
  • Lead, train and function as a specialist and work from a variety of source documents to verify quantities, parts, destinations and timing. 
  • Lead, train and function as a specialist for warehouse workgroup.
  • Responds to client calls and provides necessary information and assistance to complete orders.
  • Lead, train and function as a specialist in other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience.
  • 0-1 years’ management experience
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to read/write and interpret documents.

Preferred:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Warehouse experience.
  • Logistics experience.
  • Six Sigma experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.

Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.

Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.

Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
