JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, inspection, and servicing of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment within the facility. Equipment may include forklifts, sit down and stand up. Ensures the safe and accurate movement of goods to and from designated locations. Maintains a strong working knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes, including materials management, distribution, and transportation policies, to support operational and business requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment during material handling and warehousing, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensures safe operation of equipment during all material‑movement activities.
  • Operates equipment safely when entering and exiting trailers.
  • Maintains responsibility for the safety of all personnel within designated equipment safety zones.
  • Demonstrates, leads, and assists in reviewing source documents to verify quantities, parts, destinations, and timing prior to material movement.
  • Demonstrates, leads, and assists in operating machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging.
  • Responsible for the safe operation and basic servicing of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment within the facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to read/write and interpret documents
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Sit down forklift experience preferred
 
 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
  • Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
  • Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
