JOB SUMMARY

  • Contributes with a level of authority and depth of expertise to meet customer expectations and SLA targets through best in class support, development & administration practices customizing Distributor Applications.
  • Completely independent. Oversees some cross-functional projects, relied upon to answer complex questions, and perhaps assists with some cross-regional projects. Secondary trainer of new team members.
  • This position is responsible for analyzing application business requirements, writing functional specifications, administration and providing Level 1, 2 & 3 support to meet service level commitments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all programming, development, integration and system administration assignments without close supervision.
  • Provides project management, programming, systems, and/or system administration leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members.
  • Arranges, prepares and conducts meetings, workshops and presentations for a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contributes to, project and quality plans, cost benefit analysis and risk analysis taking account of the requirements for functionality versus the constraints of time, cost and quality.
  • Works on more complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support functions.
  • Works independently on complex processes and modules that may be used by one or more programs, systems or in support of infrastructure component change management.
  • Develops major system modules, programs or applications released based on requirements gathered from system customers.
  • Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of system components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.
  • Performs integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased hardware and software solutions.
  • Assists customers with documentation, training and usability efforts.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and tangible outputs. Rely on industry standards, best practices, and qualitative & quantitative data to support and/or refine operations methodologies.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned, including overnight and international travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, business and relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of IT experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting and implementing business applications and/or application administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience implementing business applications.
  • At least 5 years of application software testing experience.
  • At least 5 years Customer-facing experience and working closely with business partners.
  • Fully knowledgeable of current programming languages, program design and specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems.

Advanced Distributor Application knowledge and skills in the following:

  • SAS or
  • Ellipse or
  • BOBJ
  • Structured Development Methodology
  • All aspects of mainframe development including Implementations and/or Application Administration (Unix, VMWare, Command line interfaces, scripting, upgrades, Implementations, Performance Management)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.

JDA Warehouse Management System Experience Required 

 

  • JDA functional lead: liaison between Business Analyst and IT, lead on IT projects/implementations, has extensive JDA WMS product knowledge and configuration expertise, spec’s out system design and creates and has technical knowledge.  Focus on the how to of the system (build).
