JOB SUMMARY

Senior Inventory Management Consultant will provide expert leadership and guidance.  Develop new supply chain concepts and strategies for distribution networks.  Provides leadership for client teams, complex projects, and new client implementations.  Leads new business development engagements by performing value proposition assessments, inventory simulation studies, and implementations of IM software.  Primary goal is to complete project commitments on-time, within budget, per scope, and with superior quality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expert in advanced IM concepts, extensive technical skills, and defines processes to effectively provide IM services while coaching and mentoring others to ensure quality of work.
  • Superior leadership accountable for formal teams, project teams, informal groups, and technical issues (the go to person for difficult issues) with accountability for the teams results.
  • Superior leadership for client IM solutions and implementations.
  • Expert in quantitative techniques to complex physical systems and processes including forecasting, supply chain integration, distribution strategies, inventory planning, and replenishment.
  • Expert in highly complex and strategic projects and analysis while prioritizing assignments, distributing workload, and managing resources to produce detailed analysis with organized conclusions for presentation.
  • Expert in solutions, designs, and developments for core IM enhancements to systems, simulators, and/or IM service.
  • Expertise in cross-functional supply chain knowledge with the ability to provide overall supply chain guidance to other functional areas (Ops, IT, etc.).
  • Expert role in the selling of IM services to existing and potential clients.

  • Expert analysis in potential client supply chains to identify, value propositions for IM solutions through extensive, detailed data analysis.
  • Lead multiple projects in the development of sales presentations and cost models for new business engagements with ability to present to wide range of business professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a closely related field
  • 12+ years’ relevant experience
  • 10+ years’ of inventory management, modeling or supply chain management experience
  • Superior technical knowledge of IT systems
  • Experience with multiple demand/inventory planning, ERP,  and WM systems
  • Client implementation, client facing experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time
  • Advanced degree from an accredited University in a closely related field
  • Discrete-event inventory simulation modeling and/or statistics modeling and simulation tools
  • Project management / 6 Sigma Expert knowledge of demand/inventory planning philosophies
  • Expert in advanced statistical concepts
  • Project management experience
  • Expert in Inventory Management philosophies & systems
  • Expertise in statistical programming, simulations, statistical modeling, and data querying/analysis from multiple sources with programming experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with  multiple levels of both client organization and internal process partners
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct reports, executives, co-workers, clients, and other business areas
  • Self-motivated to initiate, drive and lead team to deliver on IM solutions; ability to lead staff in globally dispersed locations; proven leadership abilities focused on continuous improvement
  • Strong organization, delegation and project management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
