  • The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is responsible for defining test strategy, planning and well defined test cases for system implementation projects.  This role is a key interface with business partners and product delivery teams to define testing requirements.  Also, this role will be instrumental in defining processes and tools used by the QA team.
  • The vision of the IT PMO (Project Management Office) is to support a consistent, enterprise-wide approach to project management in order to maximize the efficiency and predictability of project delivery and ensure alignment with company strategy and organizational goals.
  • The mission of the IT PMO is to partner with Neovia’s IT teams and business departments to facilitate governance of IT projects and provide project management standards, repeatable processes, and tools.

The QA Team will:

  • Define standard practices for test planning and test management
  • Select and implement tools for manual and automated testing
  • Engage with business to align testing plans with operational processes
  • Provide process support to business to plan and manage UAT
  • Provide transition to support knowledge to service delivery team
  • Scope:
  • Develop project test strategy and plan with PM and implementation team
  • Partner with business and Product Delivery on complete and aligned test cases and scripts
  • Leads project testing efforts to analyze and design testing needs
  • Create project test plans and oversee development
  • Completely independent. Oversees some cross-functional projects, relied upon to answer complex questions, and perhaps assists with some cross-regional projects. Secondary trainer of new team members.
  • Working with IT Project Manager and Product Delivery team, define testing strategy and requirements for a project with focus on ensuring test case and scripts align with requirements and business processes.
  • Partner with business owners and Product Delivery to ensure well defined testing requirements developed.
  • Capture and leverage testing universe as input to developing test plans, cases and scripts.
  • Lead test case definition and test script writing for a project; ensuring completeness and testability of the test cases and scripts, incorporating continuous improvement methodologies to ensure gaps are addressed and resolved proactively.
  • Ensure test tools are prepared for test execution.
  • Provide direction to QA Testers on writing and executing of test scripts.  As needed support the test script writing and execution.
  • Provide input and guidance related to defining testing tools and processes to be used by the team.
  • Define the quality assurance processes and tools to be able to plan, manage and execute tests.
  • Support the planning and management of all test environments and the QA test tools. 
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and tangible outputs. Rely on industry standards, best practices, and qualitative & quantitative data to support and/or refine operations methodologies.  
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned, including overnight and international travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience. 
  • Active QA certification (e.g., ISTQB (international software testing qualification board) is a plus. 
  • 5+ years of IT experience. 
  • At least 5 years of work experience in areas of supporting / developing systems.
  • Experience setting up and using test tools. 
  • Experience ensuring requirement specifications are complete for testing purposes and coordinating with the project team to resolve gaps in requirements. 
  • Working knowledge of methodologies such as 6 Sigma, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and IT Development Methodology.  
  • Previous experience with working with QA Teams is preferred.  
  • Demonstrable experience creating high quality test documentation/artifacts. 
  • Good understanding of Neovia systems environment and key Neovia business processes are a plus.

  • Must have strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills and pay specific attention to details.
Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
