JOB SUMMARY

  • Evaluates and implements proposed program changes or additions to systems, programs, or application.   Assists more experienced applications analysts and support personnel in developing solutions to customer related requests and/or system problems.  Integrates purchased solutions with internal application.  Designs and configures related program logic or integrates solutions into the systems after testing functions of developed programs, infrastructure changes and/or purchased software.
  • Limited independence. Primarily depending upon others for direction and guidance.
  • Responsibilities are along functional lines with individual IT Analysts assigned new program development and/or maintenance of existing applications 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, configures, tests, and debugs programs of varying degrees of complexity;
  • Evaluates recommended software, and/or program changes and their potential impact on the environment and execution results;
  • Works on application/technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions;
  • Works independently on complex applications and/or systems administration duties related to applications. 
  • Assists in the development of major system modules and programs; or system administration and upgrades, under the direction of more experienced staff
  • Performs integration tasks for infrastructure components and/or in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions, as assigned.
  • Improves development and support processes.
  • Ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service and tangible outputs. Rely on industry standards, best practices, and qualitative & quantitative data to support and/or refine operations methodologies.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned, including overnight and potential international travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science /IT or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience. 
  • 0 – 3 years of IT experience.
  • One year of programming experience desired.
  • Fully qualified to perform most application assignments or project tasks without close supervision.
  • Fully knowledgeable of all application components and/or current operating environment, process design and specification development, logic diagrams, testing, debugging and documentation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
