JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the invoicing and transportation for export shipments in accordance with Client work instructions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- The primary responsibility of this position is to create export shipments in accordance with Client work instructions.
- Scheduling air and ocean pick up requests with trucking companies and freight forwarders to ensure flow of goods from origin to point of export.
- Identifying and resolving issues arising during the shipping process
- Completing post shipment tasks: such as emailing pre-alerts to Clients, scanning photos, creating ITNs for tracking purposes, and updating system with shipment details
- Responding to customer service requests via email and phone
- Creating month end reports
- Shipping International Hazmat
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree and 1+ year work experience in a distribution environment or High School diploma (or GED) and 3 + years' work experience in logistics
- Exceptional communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Proficient with Computer, and Microsoft Office Applications. Understands warehouse management systems and processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
- Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
- Work requires moderate muscular exertion and/or physical strain such as frequently climbing or, recurring bending, lifting, or lowering of items weight up to 50 pounds.
