Title: Inventory Optimization & Management Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Oversees the inventory function for the site by updating records and maintaining control of materials and products. Maintains the control systems, avoiding excessive stocks and materials shortages.
Responsible for driving inventory efficiency and operational flow within the distribution center by overseeing Replenishment, Waving, and Inventory Slotting strategies. This role partners closely with Operations, Planning, and Systems teams to ensure inventory is positioned, released, and replenished in a way that maximizes productivity, accuracy, and service-level performance while minimizing labor cost and congestion.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the Inventory function:
- Ensures the accuracy of inventory counts.
- Acts a liaison to determine obsolete stock while optimizing inventory turnover.
- Ensures proper levels of stock via inventory control.

Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of inventory slotting strategies to optimize pick paths, reduce travel time, and improve order fulfillment productivity.

Analyze SKU velocity, cube, weight, and order profiles to ensure inventory is slotted in the most efficient locations.

Own site-level replenishment strategy to ensure forward pick locations are consistently stocked to support execution.

Track and report KPIs such as replenishment accuracy, pick productivity, slotting effectiveness, inventory availability, and wave adherence.
- Advises Neovia client management teams on initiatives to improve customer service, inventory performance and overall supply chain performance.
- Assists in managing existing client relationships.
- Meets client needs including enhancements to systems and/or Inventory Control.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a closely related field
- 5+ years’ relevant experience
Preferred:
- Advanced degree from an accredited University in a closely related field
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation
- 6 Sigma or other continuous improvement experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
ADDITIONAL INFO
- Knowledge of Inventory Control philosophies and systems
- Experience with multiple demand/inventory planning systems
- Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Advanced Excel or data visualization skills (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
