JOB SUMMARY

The Production & Materials Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating material flow within a centralized kitting and warehouse operation supporting multiple manufacturing facilities. This position serves as the primary link between Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Transportation, and Warehouse Operations to ensure material availability, production continuity, and on-time kit delivery to various manufacturing plants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production and kitting schedules supporting three manufacturing plants.
Convert forecasts, customer demand, and production schedules into executable warehouse work plans.
Prioritize and sequence kit builds based on manufacturing requirements.
Ensure material availability through effective inventory and replenishment planning.
Monitor inbound supplier shipments and coordinate expedites for critical shortages.
Release and prioritize work orders for warehouse and kitting operations.
Utilize ERP and MES software to manage schedules, inventory, and reporting.
Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Warehouse Operations teams.
Analyze inventory levels, safety stock, and replenishment requirements.
Communicate material shortages, risks, and recovery plans to leadership.
Support S&OP, production meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop KPI reporting and operational dashboards using ERP, Excel, or Power BI.Text

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of Production Planning, Materials Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or Manufacturing Operations experience.
Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing environments.
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Oracle ERP preferred
Apriso MES experience preferred.
APICS/CPIM/CSCP certification preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
