Title: Federal Trade Zone Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
To provide coverage, training, and support for high volume Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ's) as well as multi-functions in the receiving, grief, and shipping offices. Must also ensure facility compliance with US Customs and Border Control requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setup and initiate all Foreign Trade Zone operations; ensure compliant activation with US Customer and Border control
- Supervise and provide assistance and leadership to another location’s FTZ administrator
- Operate FTZ management system and process daily zone transactions, including the submission of E-214’s and maintenance of required recordkeeping
- Monitor and ensure product movement in and out of the foreign trade zone are accounted for and declared properly to U.S. Customs
- Validate data within FTZ system against actual shipment documentation and inventory management system data, including verification of assist values
- Ensure accurate and complete record keeping related to FTZ transactions
- Reconcile daily inventory balances using Integration Point system
- Assist the distribution center in managing and troubleshooting inventory discrepancies and adjustments. Declare discrepancies to U.S. Customs as required and report root causes to Foreign-Trade Zone Supervisor / Manager.
- Prepare and submit weekly 3461/7501 filings to Customs Broker
- Monitor daily shipments against weekly 3461 estimates and file a supplemental 3461 when necessary
- Manage inbound movements to the FTZ from various ports as needed
- Prepare weekly checklists for receiving team and track upcoming receipts
- Create and maintain internal reporting of compliance performance measures and cost savings
- Assist with the preparation of the annual FTZ board reports and annual U.S. Customs reconciliation report
- Create and update FTZ internal procedures manual
- Ensure effective communication between the Neovia Receiving team and Client
- Assist with U.S. Customs’ audits.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of foreign trade zone experience and/or related trade compliance role
- Ability to make effective FTZ decisions and meet deadlines with no oversight
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience with receiving, grief and shipping in regard to international requirements
- Commitment to detail, accuracy and follow-through
- Ability to function in a team environment and make positive contribution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient using the MS Office, advanced Microsoft Excel is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree or AA Degree, preferably in international trade, business administration, logistics or related experience
- Experience with Integration Point software
- Experience with SAP Warehouse Management System
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
