JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for outcomes in the areas of recruitment, training, retention and employee relations for assigned facilities, and for ensuring that all human resources policies, procedures, and programs are consistently administered and enforced.

Provides field HR services to assigned facilities.  Primary point of contact for assigned Vice Presidents of Operations, Directors and/or Facility Managers. Directly supervises a number of Human Resource Managers (HRMs) and Human Resources Business Partner (HRBPs), as assigned.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Influence the overall people strategy for improved business results and better employee engagement.
  • Oversee the implementation of all human resources policies, procedures, and programs ensuring they are consistently administered and enforced, in line with the company's goals, best practice, and compliant with various professional standards and local/regional regulations.
  • Responsible for implementation and/or development of all HR programs and initiatives at assigned facilities including talent management, recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, retention and employee relations, in support of business success and to further the global HR mission and goals. 
  • Responsible for tracking and results related to all HR metrics including attrition, retention, engagement, time to fill vacancies, vacancy rate, temp to regular ratio, and labor cost.
  • Manage employee and labor relations to minimize grievances and/or to settle at earliest stage of grievance process.  Manage and lead the coaching, counseling, advice and risk assessment on HR/employee related issues for staff and management.
  • Manage the ongoing and annual performance management process, including merit processes and documentation.
  • Assess for and improve on efficiencies of HR processes and procedures.
  • Provide effective leadership, development, coaching and guidance to an assigned team HR Professionals. Supervise and develop HR talent, and maintain adequate HR talent pipeline.
  • Responsible for proactive and timely response to internal client’s inquiries.
  • Serve as regional liaison to corporate HR and HR management to ensure a cohesive HR presence at all Neovia locations.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) for effective utilization of resources. Ensure effective execution of HR solutions developed by COEs to achieve desired results. 
  • Travel is required – approximately 30% of time.
  • Responsible for vendor selection and management, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from in a closely related field required.
  • Master’s Degree and/or HR Certification preferred (PHR or SPHR certification – or local equivalent).
  • At least 7 years of HR management experience.
  • At least 3 years of team leadership experience.
  • Union and/or labor management experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering training to employees and managers.
  • Experience in contract negotiations, labor relations and bargaining, and union/management relations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, direct reports, external vendors, regulatory agencies, and other business areas.
  • Ability to perform well within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires the management of multiple projects at once, without compromising quality and service levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt approach based on audience.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications, HRIS, and MS Project.
